Description
On the slopes of the Rwenzori mountain range, smallholder farmers grow a rare and flavoursome cacao. Its name is derived from ancient times when the mountain range was called Mountains of the Moon because of its snow-capped whiteness. The mountains of Rwenzori have unique microclimates, a rich biodiversity, and are known for abundant rainfall. Farmers grow their cacao intercropped with plantains, coffee, vanilla and other crops in a sustainable agroforestry system, like their ancestors have done before them.
This bar pairs these super fruity beans from Uganda with oats, for this vegan dark m!lk bar. The bright cherries and apricots sing out through the added oats so that you can still clearly taste the base flavours in the cacao.
