Description
Considered one of the cradles of the original wild cocoa, Peru has retained a rich heritage of native varieties, including the famous white beans of Gran Blanco cocoa.
Rediscovered in 2008, and since considered one of the noblest in the world, this white cocoa is cultivated in the Alto Piura valley, in the northwest of the country.
These Gran Blanco beans come from a cooperative of small producers that respect the strictest rules of sustainable development. Located below 800 meters above sea level, the plantations are exclusively cultivated in organic farming.
