Chocolate Tree

Chocolate Tree is a bean-to-bar chocolate maker based in East Lothian, founded in 2005 by Alastair and Friederike Gower. The business began on the UK festival circuit before growing into a small workshop where all chocolate is now made in-house.

They source cacao directly from smallholder farms in Central and South America, working with agroforestry systems that support biodiversity and long-term soil health. Direct relationships with growers and transparent sourcing are central to their approach.

Chocolate Tree produces single-origin bars, drinking chocolate and baking chocolate, with a focus on clear flavour and carefully sourced cacao.
