Ura Chocolate is a Peruvian bean-to-bar chocolate maker focused on the origin and diversity of native cacao. The name Ura, derived from a Quechua word associated with femininity and protection, reflects the care given to every step of the process—from selecting cacao beans to crafting the final chocolate.
The team works directly with farmers across different regions of Peru, including Piura, Cusco, San Martín, Huánuco, and Ayacucho. By sourcing small batches of native cacao varieties and working closely with local producers, Ura highlights the distinct flavour profiles that come from each region and ecosystem.
Using careful roasting and small-batch production, Ura aims to preserve the natural characteristics of the cacao so that each bar expresses the identity of its origin. The result is a collection of chocolates that showcase the variety and quality of Peruvian cacao.
