Description
In Tanzania, in the area of Mbingu, Paradise in Swahili, there is a small village overlooking the beautiful Udzungwa Mountain National Park. Here Kokoa Kamili organized a community of small farmers, about 2000 families, who produce with total control of the supply chain. Trinitario cacao, with Criollo, Amelonado and Nacional genetics, has resulted in a fruit with exceptional organoleptic properties. A “virtuous network” has been created and the village convent stands out among the producers. The nuns support much of their charitable work with the production of cacao: the running of a hospital, a school and an orphanage.
Tasting notes of honey, citrus, passion fruit, red berries, cream, flowers finishing with nuts and spice notes.
