Maychoco was born from the vision of Mayte Sánchez, who fulfilled her dream in 2019 by opening a chocolate workshop in Benajarafe, Málaga. There, she crafts fine chocolate entirely by hand, starting with cocoa beans sourced from the best plantations worldwide. Through careful roasting and tempering, she transforms these beans into high-quality, aromatic chocolate that captivates the taste buds of anyone who tries it.

Mayte’s passion for chocolate began as a child in her parents’ restaurant, inspired by the desire to share emotion through food. After initial training with local pastry chefs in 2017, she refined her skills with leading chocolatiers Isabel Félez and Rakel González, becoming a Certified Chocolate Taster. In 2019, she also helped establish the Spanish Association for the Promotion of Artisanal Bean to Bar Chocolate, fostering cocoa culture in Spain.
