For the production of its organic chocolates, Perú Puro use only Chuncho beans, farmed by 45 smallholders in the Urubamba valley. These families manage cocoa agroforestry systems, preserving over 800 hectares of pristine rainforest.
The cocoa is processed by Felchlin Switzerland in to a fine 52% milk chocolate. In 2019, Chuncho Gold Grand Cru was awarded the bronze medal by the International Chocolate Awards.
