Description

Only 2 bags. Five different cacao beans, Guasare, Porcelana, Loberta, Nocillero, and Tove… all legends, all ancestral Criollo, some on the brink of extinction.

Deep breath… a moment to take in how rare it is to work with cacao this precious, let alone 5 legends, mixed (!) … a super blend. This tiny harvest was grown on a single farm. Part of a project at the germplasm bank of Hacienda La Morusca with a mission: to evaluate and rescue Criollo cacao in danger of extinction from the 3 states hugging Lake Maracaibo: Táchira, Mérida, and Zulia.

A gentle roast & conch reveals an extraordinary chocolate containing a full scale of delicate tasting notes. Quiet & mighty. Very limited edition.
