“At Barre Clandestine, we like to think outside the box. We offer you an original recipe combining our grand cru chocolate from India, a sourdough bread made in the traditional way with ancient wheat.
Incorporated into our dark chocolate with caramelized notes, sourdough bread reveals its marked aromas of nuts and sous-bois, a tangy note characteristic of sourdough, while providing the characteristic comfort of good crusty bread.”
We had to look this up – Sous bois is a French term meaning undergrowth or forest floor. It’s used to indicate more than just dead leaves, with a mushroom, white truffle, hint of crushed pine needles or other vegetative quality to it.
