Something wonderful is happening in the tropical rainforests of Tumaco, southern Colombia. There, a group of savvy, young farmers are using native cacao as a weapon to fight against a cycle of poverty and drug violence. Partnering with the local university, they’re revitalizing and spreading native varieties of cacao, turning it into a totally sublime, sustainable crop that provides a future for their families. It’s our delicious privilege to make chocolate with their beans.
