Description
The baru nut grows wild on trees in the Cerrado Biome of Brazil and is collected by families and processed by community co-ops. Baru is the size of a large almond but tastes closely to a peanut. Mission Chocolate grind the baru nuts together with the cocoa beans to make a creamy chocolate with the nuttiness of baru. Then sealed with a bit of sea salt.
