Description
The Finca Garyth plantation is located Three hours from Quito, the capital of Ecuador..
The story begins in 2005 when the Cedeño Aguilar family transformed their monoculture palm oil plantation into an organic cocoa farm, growing only native national cocoas. Garyth’s name comes from the first letters of their three sons – Gabriel, Alberto and Ricardo – and their parents, Yolanda and Thomas.
Taking care of all the stages of production, from cultivation to harvest, passing through fermentation and drying, Finca Garyth has obtained a certificate of protected denomination of origin for their Arriba Nacional varieties, the first certificate issued in the country. . Yolanda, the matriarch of the family, operates a small chocolate factory and thus has the opportunity to test firsthand the potential of these beans.
With its subtle taste of floral notes, tropical fruits and fresh almonds, this 85% cocoa dark chocolate from Ecuador is ideal for lovers of intense and tangy chocolate.
