Heinde & Verre has developed its own vegan milk alternative to create a unique rich and creamy chocolate bar with a striking resemblance to classic milk chocolate. The combination of plant based ingredients brings out the best of the blend of organic certified cacao from Latin America, the Caribbean, and Indonesia.
Made with coconut milk and cocoa from the Costa Esmeraldas farm, with Ecuador’s Cocoa of Excellence 2018-2019. The bar sits towards the stronger end of the dark milk spectrum at 64%, but is a very accessible and creamy.
This organic cocoa is grown by 180 farmers in the cocoa growing region of El Cibao in Duarte province, Dominican Republic. The Öko caribe company ferments and dries the beans in the village Pimentel in San Francísco de Macrois.
Almost all the cocoa grown in Vanuatu comes from this one island: Malekula. This sparsely populated island is a two-day boat journey from the capital of Port Vila. But the rich volcanic soil here yields a cocoa bean with a complex flavour and hints of cherry, white grape and soft lemon that makes the journey worthwhile. 25g bar.
