Description
This Brazilian cacao delivers a wide range of flavours. Heinde & Verre achieved this by applying multiple roasting profiles on a single origin bean. They roast batches of these cacao beans in thee different ways and then blend them again during grinding and coaching stage. This adds to the complexity and a multitude of flavours in the chocolate.
The beans for this bar are sourced from the COOPOAM farmer cooperative in Brazil. The farmers grow and harvest their cacao beans in the Pará region along side the Xingu river. COOPOAM is part of the CEPOTX association that focuses on sustainable agriculture and reforestation in the Amazon. Through this cooperation all cacao is fair trade and organic certified.
Every bite delivers new flavours to discover: fruit, syrup, herbs, chocolate, orange peel, liquorice, earthiness and tobacco
Brand
Heinde & Verre
Heinde & Verre means “near and far”. The name pays homage to the Dutch culinary tradition of combining the best ingredients worldwide with quality local produce. We use slow food techniques to develop the full potential of grand cru cacao and to express its natural richness in flavour.
One bar for now, one bar for later
Each Heinde & Verre box contains 2 bars, one bar for now, one for later. At Heinde & Verre we take chocolate and your enjoyment very serious. Quality chocolate needs to be protected so we have developed the perfect packaging to preserve all the natural flavours. An aluminium pouch protects against light, humidity, dust and dirt. A double air tight seal protects against odours. We have extracted part of the air to reduce oxidisation and moisture.
