Description
Chuao cocoa is considered by many to be the best in the world: it originates exclusively around the village of Chuao near the Henry Pittier National Park in the Aragua state of Venezuela. This cocoa is considered a Modern Criollo, which is characterized by a high genetic purity of Criollo without bitterness and a characteristic touch of acidity which makes the chocolate fresh, fruity and with an extraordinary persistence. In 2021, Chuao cocoa became the first cocoa in the world to receive a certified Designation of Origin, DOCC (Denominacion Oficial Cacao de Chuao).
This dark chocolate has a complex and persistent taste, where you can find notes of currants, strawberries, blueberries, plums, mango and licorice.
This bar was awarded Italian Gold and European Silver by the International Chocolate Awards in 2023
